This seat cover was designed by May Morris. It is a woven tapestry in wool, depicting blue bells and other flowers on a dark blue ground. It was given by May Morris to Amy Carruthers Tozer, a friend of both May and Jane Morris and daughter of William Caruthers, who accompanied William Morris on his final trip abroad to Spitsbergen Island in 1896.
