We welcome coach trips and group visits at the Gallery. Groups can visit independently, with their own guide or book a tour from one of the Gallery's curators.
A group visit can be booked on our normal opening days (Wednesday to Sunday) or on Tuesdays if booking a curatorial tour. Entry to the Gallery for groups is free, as it is for all visitors.
All group visits must be booked in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 020 8496 4390. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you make your booking at least four weeks in advance.
Our curators would be delighted to give your group a private tour of the Gallery.
The popular Meet the Man tour offers an introduction to William Morris's life and work through key works on display. This is the perfect start for your group's first visit to the Gallery, bringing together Morris's varied interests in craft, politics and literature, as well as introducing his close collaborators.
Tours last 45 minutes and cost £150 per group. If you would like to bring more than 15 people we can offer consecutive tours or discuss other possibilities. Curatorial tours of the permanent galleries are currently only available for pre-booked groups. We can also offer curatorial tours of the special exhibitions - please contact us for details.
To book a curatorial tour of the Gallery please email email@example.com.
Catering for groups
Groups are welcome to make use of the Tea Room during normal opening hours. On Tuesdays, the Tea Room is closed as the Gallery is closed to the public. However, the Tea Room staff may be able to provide catering especially for your group. Please mention this when you book your visit and we will put you in touch with the caterers to discuss your requirements.
