Explore the art of artist and political activist Bob and Roberta Smith. Over the week you will go on a creative journey; looking at the work of famous artists and visiting Bob and Roberta Smith in his studio, collecting and developing your ideas in a sketchbook, creating your own artwork to be displayed at a public exhibition at the William Morris Gallery.
You will be supported throughout by professional artist Della Rees and Gallery learning staff. Practical sessions will include skills in graphic design and sign writing as well as discussion of how art can be used to send a message or campaign for a cause.
You do not need to be studying art to take part but an enthusiasm for making art and looking at art is a must!
Starts Tuesday 4 August, ends Saturday 8 August. Participants must be available for the whole five days, 10am – 4pm.
