The William Morris Gallery Learning Team would like to extend a warm welcome to teachers and other arts educators.

Over a free glass of wine, enjoy an exclusive viewing of the new exhibition by successful British fashion designer Giles Deacon, best known for his playful designs -sometimes inspired by Morris - and his collaboration with high street retailer New Look. The show documents one garment’s complete design process from initial sketches to catwalk.  Hear talks on Deacon from one of the exhibition curators Ines Pina and fashion lecturer Fenella Magnus.

In addition, find out about the Gallery's regular artist-led workshop programme for primary and secondary schools including new practical fashion design workshops based on Giles Deacon's work for GCSE and 16+ students. See professional artists' demonstrations by workshop leaders in Block Printing, Textile Design and Weaving and find our how artist-led workshops can support Arts Awards.

We will be launching a new richly illustrated Key Stage 2 classroom digital resource on Working with Pattern Inspired by William Morris developed by textile artist Sba Shaikh.

Collect free resources such postcards, posters and activity sheets.
