Create your own Althea McNish inspired cushion with artist Odette Steele.
Join Odette Steele in an engaging and immersive workshop, creating a cushion inspired by the artistry of Althea McNish. Under the guidance of Odette, you will experiment with a variety of simple and effective techniques that will get the creative juices flowing. This will include embroidery techniques such as couching and applique, as well as the use of 'sublimation' or heat transfer printing.
The workshop will provide you with a variety of basic hand rendering techniques that can be further developed and applied to a wide range of projects and products. Odette will be demonstrating each technique and will assist you in the completion of your cushions whilst encouraging creative thinking.
The value of this workshop is £40 but we recognise that this is not affordable for everyone. We ask that all participants pay what they can, with a minimum donation of £5. Attendees must be aged 18+
