Explore the art of poster making in our forthcoming exhibition A World To Win: Posters of Protest and Revolution. Over the week you will go on a creative journey; looking at the work of famous artists and visiting printmaker and street artist Aida Wilde in her Hackney studio, collecting and developing your ideas in a sketchbook, creating your own artwork to be displayed at a public exhibition at the William Morris Gallery.

You will be supported throughout by professional artist Della Rees and Gallery learning staff. You will learn a variety of printmaking techniques through practical artist-led sessions, take part in critical discussions about art and develop your own ideas for your final piece in our art studio.

You do not need to be studying art to take part but an enthusiasm for making art and looking at art is a must!

The finished artwork will go on public display at the William Morris Gallery from November 2016 to January 2017. You will also have the opportunity to curate the exhibition in the autumn if you choose to join the Gallery's Young Curators Group.

Starts Tuesday 2 August, ends Saturday 6 August. Participants must be available for the whole five days, 10.30am – 4.30pm.
